Austin update
Since being home he has done really good. Been sore, and tired. He is ready to return to his normal routine. He is going to go to school for a half day tomorrow to try some normal life. His friends miss him. They have came to visit, but it just isn't the same. Because he cant drive his Buddy volunteered to pick him up. Because once your 16 and have a drivers license is is just so below you to ride the bus. Thank you Cody for saving him that horrible embarrassment. Thank you everyone for still praying for his recovery.

Late count down day 2
Count down day two. Blessed to be here with Doctor Yakes and his team. He is so completely perfect for us. He was so great with Austin. He has answered years of questions we have had.
Austin update
So sorry everyone we have a hard time getting the internet to work. His MRI went great. Our conference with Dr.Yakes was awesome. Him and his assistant are amazing. He was so great with Austin. They answered every single question we had. It was the best feeling to have them answered since we have had these questions for a very long time.In his office they have a map of the USA and pins in places where his patients live. So Austin was able to put his pin in Santaquin.(I will post picture) There was also a map of the world and pins stuck there too. He sees a lot of people out side the US. Simply amazed at our opportunity to have him treating him. He did tell us well have to make several trips here before we win this battle. The only thing different with treatment is he was going to have a angiogram. We got some sleep and was back too the hospital at 5 am to be admitted. We got checked in and went back with him to get prepared. Everyone here is so nice and fun. His I.V. was a little hard it took them awhile. (Hard on Mom to watch) It was kinda funny, everyone talks about how tall he is which he is 6 and half feet tall. The nurse said you are not going to fit in any of our beds. Then we were able to go back with him to the surgery room. And see him in their, they gave him a dose of meds and it was kisses good bye for us. It felt like along walk back to the waiting room. Then after a hour or so we got a call saying he was done everything went good. But it was awhile before we would be with him. But we are together now we are in a room on PICU floor. He is sleepy but talking. Because of the angiogram he has to lay flat for 4 hours. Thank you for all the calls, texts of support and love. Feeling so blessed.

We had the most amazing family prayer tonight. Surrounded by our friends and family, we all shared a very neat spiritual experience. We were shown just how much support we have. How much love we have, what a impact Austin has on people. And what a impact something like this has on us. We are strong and we can do hard things. We will be leaving soon to head to Colorado. My next post will be when we are in Colorado. Hoping for a safe travel.

This past week we were given our times for our appointments. We have to be at Sweddish Hospital at 10:30 Thursday for his MRI appointment which will be at 11:00. Then we will have a conference with Dr Yakes and everyone dealing with Austin at 1:00. Then he will be admitted to the hospital at 5 a.m Friday morning. It became more surreal when we got our times, that this is happening. A lot of emotions surfacing. But we are more than ready to tackle this.
